Renata Codello

She received her Master Degree in Architecture in 1985 at the IUAV and in 1996 a PhD in Building and Environmental Recovery at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Genoa. Among the many tasks: the design and construction management for the new headquarters of the Academy of Fine Arts in the complex of the Incurable Zattere and the design and construction supervision for the expansion, restoration and functional adaptation of the museum of Gallerie dell’Accademia.

She is currently Superintendent for Architectural and Landscape Heritage of Venice and its Lagoon and Interim Superintendent for Architectural Heritage and Landscape of Eastern Veneto.

Since the academic year 2001-2002 she held a position in continuous teaching contract during Theory and Techniques of Architectural Restoration. She participated in numerous conferences and seminars and is the author of several essays and books on the subject of architectural restoration.
