Ippolito Pestellini Laparelli

(b. 1980). Joined OMA in January 2007 and became an Associate in 2010.

Pestellini is in charge of a range of Prada’s creative initiatives that run parallel to fashion design, and actively contributes to the curatorial development and exhibitions design of Fondazione Prada. His responsibilities encompass research and collaborations with several other brands on the topics of branding, product development and staging.

Pestellini’s main activities include research and architecture with special focus on Italy, preservation and scenography. This work includes the transformation and strategic programmatic research for the 16th Fondaco dei Tedeschi in Venice; “Cronocaos”, OMA’s exhibition at the 12th Architectural Biennale focused on the contradictory aspects of preservation; and the 2012 classic drama scenography at the ancient Greek theater of Siracusa in Sicily.

He has recently developed “Monditalia”, the multidisciplinary part of the14th International Architecture Biennale “Fundamentals”, dedicated to the current status of Italy.
